Spread your wings are a girl / boy country duo. Vicki (lead vocals) is from Cheshire and Neil (guitars and backing vocals) comes from Nottinghamshire This is Vicki’s her 1st venture into being a lead singer on the country circuit. Her background from being very young was dance and she studied at one of the uk’s premier dance schools. It was only a long term injury that stopped her becoming a very accomplished dancer and it was this that made her explore other avenues in performing arts. This led her to singing in musicals, in the chorus line at first but then stepping up to play lead rolls. Country music is in her blood though as her parents are both regular characters on the western scene. Neil has been a musician since being a very young boy. He has a huge passion for everything guitar. His playing style is different from anything else on the country scene and ranges from delicate and light to full on searing, regal sounding harmonies. He has been on the country scene for way over 20 years and has won many prestigious awards in that time. His voice also blends effortlessly with vicki’s to create beautiful harmonies. The duo have now been on the country scene a full year and have played all over the U.K. at club events and festivals. Vickis stunning vocals coupled with Neil’s distinctive guitar makes for a truly unique blend. They play purely country music that ranges from the 50’s to the present day and apply their own twist to many of the songs to make them their own.
Phil can be seen performing at many country clubs and festivals around the UK. He is also lead singer with country trio The Long Gone Daddies and performed for many years as lead singer for The Sunset Trio.
As most will know we sadly lost Gary Perkins in December 2018 after a short illness. Both Gary and Julie were keen that the boys should continue with the band.
